New at Airwallex: May Edition

Welcome to Airwallex’s May release notes. This month, we’re rolling out a wave of connectivity updates, from new ecommerce plugins for Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Prestashop to integrations with more ERPs using the Spend API. We’re also introducing instant internal transfers, FX rate locking in Singapore, and the Accounting Hub for faster month-end close. Here’s what new:

Business Accounts
Early accessTransfer between accounts more easily within a single organisation
Businesses can now instantly move funds within the same organisation for free from the Airwallex WebApp and mobile app, simply by selecting the source and destination accounts, with no manual entry of account details needed. Transfer approval workflows will also apply for added security. This improvement allows teams to better manage liquidity with fewer steps and less room for error.

Lock in FX rates on future payments with Scheduled Conversions in Singapore
Singapore businesses can now use Scheduled Conversions to lock in today’s exchange rate for conversions and transfers settling up to one year in the future, with a small upfront prepayment held as collateral in their wallet. This gives Airwallex customers certainty over FX costs, helps protect margins from currency swings between booking and settlement, and makes it easier to plan cash flows for use cases like travel, payroll, and supplier payments where there’s a built-in lag between when a transaction is agreed and when it’s fulfilled.
Payments
Early accessAccept payments on Salesforce Commerce Cloud with the Airwallex cartridge
You can now accept payments on your Salesforce Commerce Cloud storefront with Airwallex’s pre-built cartridge, without custom development. Simply install the cartridge and start accepting major cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and 160+ local payment methods while using built-in currency switching to localise prices and keep shoppers on your storefront. Settle funds like-for-like directly into your Airwallex multi-currency wallet. Learn more here.

Accept payments on Prestashop with the Airwallex plugin
The Airwallex Payments plugin is now available on your PrestaShop store. Offer express checkout with Apple Pay and Google Pay, plus 160+ local payment methods including iDEAL, Wero, and Klarna. Avoid forced FX conversions by settling into your Airwallex multi-currency wallet in the same currency you collect. Learn more here.

Additional releases:
WooCommerce Mini Cart express checkout: Let shoppers pay directly from the Mini Cart with Apple Pay and Google Pay with your Airwallex plugin to streamline checkout and reduce drop-off. Learn more here.
Spend
Close your books faster with the Accounting Hub
Review, bulk edit, and sync card expenses and reimbursements to your accounting system from the Accounting Hub, instead of jumping between expense reports and connection settings. This helps you clear thousands of transactions at month-end with fewer clicks and fix coding issues in bulk so your general ledger stays accurate without adding manual work.

Track, approve, and pay bills faster with an improved Bill Pay experience
Review and manage bills from an upgraded Bills dashboard and bill details view that makes statuses, approvals, and sync issues easier to scan as you work through domestic and international payables. This helps you handle high volumes of complex bills with more confidence, spot what needs attention quickly, and keep approvals and payments moving without jumping between multiple screens. Learn more here.

Integrate with more ERPs using the Spend API
The Spend API is now publicly available, letting you sync Spend data into ERPs beyond our existing Xero, QuickBooks, and NetSuite integrations. You can build or customise your own integrations and programmatically export card expenses, reimbursements, vendors, purchase orders, and bills, so more of your global spend flows into a single source of truth with less manual reconciliation. Learn more here.
Additional releases:
Add Airwallex cards to Apple Pay in New Zealand: New Zealand businesses can now include Airwallex-issued cards in their Apple Wallet for use with Apple Pay. Simply navigate to your Settings or Wallet app, provide your card details, and accept the terms and conditions to start using your card for mobile, web and tap-to-pay purchases. Learn more here.
