Over the past several decades, there have been major advancements to how we use and deploy software, such as the graphical user interface and the shift to the cloud. We’re at the early stages of another huge leap forward: AI agents are now capable enough to take a single financial instruction, e.g., "bill this customer," "pay these invoices," "reconcile last month’s transactions,” and execute the work end to end.

We have native AI capabilities in Airwallex’s web and mobile applications to make tasks easier to complete, and will continue to optimize those tools. With AI agents proliferating and becoming more capable, it’s also now possible to utilize Airwallex without visiting an Airwallex application, and instead prompting agents with plain language from the AI tools of your choice.

That is why we built Airwallex AgentOS: a toolkit for any agent to operate Airwallex end to end from your preferred AI platform.

Airwallex AgentOS plugs into the agents where work is already happening. You describe what you need in plain language, and the agent invokes Airwallex on your behalf, through the CLI or an MCP server. You can also use our codified Skills or create custom Skills for agents that match your typical workflows.

Plugins for Airwallex AgentOS are now available to download in the plugins directories of Claude Code, Claude Cowork, and Cursor. If the AgentOS plugin isn’t available on your preferred agent platform, you can also install the Airwallex MCP, CLI and Skills directly from our website.

From prompt to production 

Airwallex AgentOS gives your agent the unique ability to manage end-to-end business account operations across your global footprint. 

For example, you can instruct your agent in plain language to query multi-currency balances across cash, yield and credit account types; understand cashflow by checking receivables and payables; get options for FX conversion to prep for a payrun; turn signed contracts into billing terms and customer invoices; and provision company cards to facilitate business spend. 

Providing access to your other operational tools enables AgentOS to accomplish more for you. For example, agents can append an invoice to an existing customer email or Slack thread, draft the message around it, and even send it directly. Those records could then automatically sync with your CRM system and accounting software, so customer context, reconciliation, and reporting stay consistent across all your tools.

AgentOS is also designed to support different stages of adoption. Businesses can connect production capabilities to operate on live Airwallex accounts, switch to the sandbox for safe testing, or query Airwallex documentation in-context so their agent can discover capabilities without leaving the conversation.
