New at Airwallex: April Edition

Welcome to Airwallex’s April release notes. This month, we’re rolling out a range of updates from a new Balance Snapshot Report for streamlined reconciliation to expanded local payment methods like JKOPay in Taiwan and ShopeePay in Singapore. We’re also introducing AI-powered workflow creation for Spend, enhanced approval management across accounts, and broader language support to help you operate more seamlessly across markets. Here’s what’s new:
Business Accounts
View all of your balances in one consolidated place with the Balance Snapshot Report
The Balance Snapshot Report is now available to all customers, giving you a complete end-of-day view of balances across all accounts and currencies in a single report. Instead of downloading multiple reports to piece together your balances, you can export one consolidated view based on your selected timezone. This makes it easier to close the books faster, simplify treasury management, and stay audit-ready with less manual work. Learn more here.

Use Airwallex in more languages
The Airwallex WebApp and mobile app are now available in Japanese, Korean, and Mexican Spanish, alongside existing supported languages including Chinese, French, and English (US). Broader language support improves usability and helps you operate more seamlessly across markets. Additional languages such as German, Portuguese (Brazil), and Vietnamese are planned in the coming months. Learn more here.

Manage transfer approvals across accounts in one place
Transfer approval workflows can now be managed at the organisation level, providing a centralised way to oversee approvals across multiple accounts. Based on their permissions, users can add, edit, or remove workflows for one or more accounts, while Owners can now approve or reject changes in bulk. We’ve also introduced the ability to specify the exact number of approvers required for each step, offering greater flexibility. Learn more here.

Payments
Early accessIncrease conversion from Taiwanese shoppers with JKOPay
You can now offer JKOPay to Taiwanese shoppers through Airwallex Payments. JKOPay is one of Taiwan’s most widely used wallets, with over 7 million users. Airwallex is the first major PSP to enable businesses outside of Taiwan to offer JKOPay, helping you better capture local demand and improve conversion. Learn more here.

Increase conversion from Singaporean shoppers with more local payment methods
Shoppers in Singapore can now pay using ShopeePay and SPayLater, expanding your coverage of local payment methods and BNPL options. SPayLater allows shoppers to pay up to 12 months of installments through their Shopee app, helping improve checkout conversion. Learn more here.
Spend
Generate approval workflows using natural language
Admins can now design and refine Spend approval workflows using natural language. AI Assistant generates proposed multi-step workflows as drafts in the workflow editor, without making any changes until an owner or admin confirms. It can also read existing approval workflows across card expenses, reimbursements, bills, card requests, and purchase orders, and explain how rules are applied. This makes it easier to move from simple spend approval setups to structured workflows across entities and departments, reduce time troubleshooting, and scale approval processes as your business grows.

Close your books faster with user nudges
Chasing down incomplete expenses and pending approvals just got easier. Admins can now nudge users directly from the bulk toolbar in Expenses, sending a personalised email and mobile notification to the user(s) requiring action. You can nudge employees to submit outstanding expenses or act on items pending their approval.

Policy checks that run themselves
Expense Policy Agent is now generally available. Generate, edit, and enforce expense policies faster. Built-in controls for duplicates, deadlines and spend limits across every card expense and reimbursement. Expense policy agent runs in the background across entities, currencies, and languages so approvers only see what needs attention. Learn more here.
Platform APIs and Embedded Finance
Reduce FX costs with MXN direct billing for cards
You can now use Mexican Peso (MXN) as a direct billing currency for cards issued out of the US and Singapore. MXN transactions are debited directly from your MXN Wallet, and you can set and manage card spend limits in MXN, as well as configure MXN as the card’s primary billing currency. This helps reduce foreign exchange costs and provides a more localised experience for teams operating in Mexico. Learn more here.
