These terms and conditions (‘Terms’) set out the terms and conditions of your participation in the Airwallex Birthday Card Cashback Promotion operated by Airwallex Pty Ltd (‘Airwallex’, ‘us’, ‘our’ or ‘we’). The Airwallex Birthday Card Cashback Promotion (‘Promotion') allows new Airwallex customer (‘you’) to receive a credit into your Airwallex Account, if you meet the conditions set out in these Terms.

By participating in the Airwallex Birthday Card Cashback Promotion or receiving Cashback, you agree to these Terms.

Who is eligible to participate in the Airwallex Birthday Card Cashback Promotion?

The Airwallex Birthday Card Cashback Promotion is available to new Australian customers of Airwallex, who are not an existing customer or existing applicant of Airwallex or its affiliates. Participants must sign up and be approved for an Airwallex account before 31 January 2021, 23:59 AEDT, unless extended or shortened by Airwallex.

What is the Cashback?

If you meet the eligibility criteria, for every AUD $5,000 of eligible international purchases made in the Cashback Period on your Airwallex Card, you will receive AUD $50 credited to your Airwallex Account (‘Cashback’). Your Cashback will be calculated by Airwallex at the end of the Cashback Period which commences on the date you are approved for an Airwallex account and ends on 31 March 2021 (‘Cashback Period’). The total amount of Cashback that you can receive for the Cashback Period is capped at AUD $500.

For instance, if your eligible international purchase volume is AUD $51,000, you will receive a Cashback of AUD $500 into your Airwallex Account.

What is are the eligible international purchases?

In order to receive the Cashback, you must transact using the Airwallex card product issued by Airwallex (‘Airwallex Card’) and make eligible international purchases using the Airwallex Card.

Eligible international purchases means a card payment (1) in a currency other than Australian Dollars, or (2) where Facebook, AWS, Amazon, Microsoft, Google or Alibaba is disclosed as the merchant of record.

Airwallex, acting reasonably, may at any time and without prior notice, change the eligible international purchases where it becomes necessary to do so. For clarity, if you make a purchase with Facebook using PayPal at checkout with an Airwallex Card, the merchant on record will be PayPal not Facebook. Therefore, this will not be an eligible international purchase and the transaction will not be taken into account when calculating your cashback.

Airwallex will calculate your eligible international purchases with reference to the currency sold to Airwallex. For example, if your international purchase is in GBP, Airwallex will calculate the AUD equivalent amount of the GBP, where the GBP is the currency sold to Airwallex in this example.

When will you receive the Cashback?

It may take up to 30 days the end of the Cashback Period for the Cashback to be credited into your Airwallex Account.

Is there any cost to participate in the Airwallex Birthday Card Cashback Promotion?

Airwallex does not charge you to participate in the Airwallex Birthday Card Cashback Promotion.

What are some other restrictions you should know?

Cashbacks are not available in conjunction with other offers, packages or promotions, unless specified by Airwallex. This includes, but is not limited to, the Airwallex Card Cashback Program for existing customers and the Airwallex Referral Program.

New customers who sign up to Airwallex through the Airwallex Referral Program are not eligible to participate in the Promotion. However, new customers who sign up to Airwallex through a referral from an Airwallex Ambassador may be eligible to participate in the Promotion, subject to additional terms and conditions.

Cashbacks may be reversed if any eligible international purchases are subsequently cancelled, suspended, frozen or refunded.

Termination and changes

The Airwallex Birthday Card Cashback Promotion expires on 31 March 2021, 23:59 AEDT, unless extended or shortened by Airwallex. Your participation in the Airwallex Birthday Card Cashback Promotion is not guaranteed and may be revoked at any time in Airwallex’s sole discretion in accordance with these Terms.

Airwallex, acting reasonably, may at any time and without prior notice, cancel, suspend, or change the Airwallex Birthday Card Cashback Promotion or any part of it where it becomes necessary to do so. For example, if we determine that the Airwallex Birthday Card Cashback Promotion is no longer commercially feasible or because it may violate any law. However, such discontinuation, suspension or change will not affect any Cashback already earned.

Further, Airwallex reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to suspend or cancel offering the Airwallex Birthday Card Cashback Promotion to you if we suspect that you are using the Airwallex Birthday Card Cashback Promotion in a fraudulent or unlawful manner or for a fraudulent or unlawful purpose or if you are in breach of any of these Terms or any of our terms and conditions you have agreed to with Airwallex.

If Airwallex reasonably believes a change to any part of the Promotion will have a detrimental impact on you, Airwallex will provide you with 14 days’ notice of such change, at our sole discretion:

via the Airwallex website; via the Airwallex Webapp; by direct electronic communications sent to you.
