WeChat is a Chinese multi-purpose messaging, social media and mobile payment app developed by Tencent. WeChat users who have linked their Chinese bank accounts to their WeChat Pay can start purchasing online using WeChat Pay on their mobile app.

Note:
- US, NZ, MY are currently available in the beta testing program. Please reach out to your Airwallex account manager or [email protected] if you'd like to join the beta.
- JP merchants can be onboarded in HK to use WeChat Pay
- For merchants deemed to be in high-risk industries by WeChat, they can only onboard to HK with USD settlement enabled
- Other features supported: Auto Customs Declaration to help merchants send payment information directly to China Customs for cross border customs clearance.
