Key changes to the mobile checkout flow starting 24 October 2025
- GCash app now required: Customers on mobile must have the GCash app to complete a payment. They will be directed to the App Store or Google Play Store if they do not have it installed.
- H5 login page removal: The web-based (H5) login for mobile checkouts will no longer be available.
There are no changes to the desktop checkout flow. If you have whitelisted previous mobile redirect URLs, please add the new response URL from GCash to your whitelist to avoid any checkout disruptions.
Gain access to shoppers on GCash
GCash is a digital wallet app that is operated by Mynt, a partnership between Globe Telecom, the Ayala Corporation, and Ant Financial. GCash offers services including money transfer, QR code payments, bill payments etc. and has been integrated into major e-commerce websites like Shopee, Lazada and Zalora. As of 2019, GCash has 20 million users with more than 63,000 partner merchants in the Philippines.
