WeChat is a Chinese multi-purpose messaging, social media and mobile payment app developed by Tencent. WeChat users who have linked their Chinese bank accounts to their WeChat Pay can start purchasing online using WeChat Pay on their mobile app.
With over 800 million monthly active users, WeChat Pay provides a smart and efficient payment solution for both consumers and merchants.

Note:
- JP and KR merchants can be onboarded in HK.
- EU is currently available in the beta testing program. Please reach out to your Airwallex account manager or [email protected] if you'd like to join the beta.
- Processing currency refers to the currency that is sent to Airwallex to process, which is usually Merchant Pricing currency.
- If deemed as high risk vertical by WeChat Pay, only HK entity with USD settlement currency can be enabled.
- Other features supported: Auto Customs Declaration can help merchants send payment information to China Customs for cross border customs clearance.
