New at Airwallex: February Edition

This month, we’re helping teams close their books faster, work more securely, and localise their customer experiences. We’re rolling out new spend capabilities, including the Expense Policy Agent to automatically flag issues in reimbursements and help teams stay in control as spend scales. We’ve also introduced a new Balance Snapshot Report for clearer end-of-day visibility across accounts and currencies and expanded local payment method options with PayMe in Hong Kong. For platforms, we’ve made seller payouts simpler, and on the developer side, we’ve also strengthened security with IP whitelisting for API keys. Here’s what’s new:

Business Accounts

Early access

Get complete visibility of your balances with the Balance Snapshot Report

Get a complete end-of-day view of your balances across all accounts and currencies in a single report. The Balance Snapshot Report shows consolidated balances in your selected timezone, helping your team to close the books faster, simplify treasury management, and stay audit-ready with less manual work. Learn more here.

Use the Airwallex WebApp in Spanish, French, Japanese, or Korean

You can now view the Airwallex WebApp in Mexican Spanish, French, Japanese, or Korean. Easily change language settings within your WebApp profile to update all text to your preferred language. This makes it easier for global teams to work in their local language and supports expansion into new markets across Latin America and Asia-Pacific.

WebApp language support

Add and manage organisation owners directly in the WebApp

Organisation owners can now invite additional owners directly in the WebApp. New owners are added through an approval workflow and are assigned at the organisation level, giving them access to all accounts under the same legal entity. This simplifies account administration and makes it easier to manage growing teams and partner access.

Payments

PayMe now available in Hong Kong

Hong Kong businesses can now activate PayMe as a payment method on Airwallex. As one of the city’s most popular digital wallets, PayMe allows shoppers to pay directly from their mobile wallet. Adding PayMe can help you reach more local customers and improve checkout conversion in Hong Kong. PayMe is also supported in the Airwallex Plugin for Shopify. Learn more here.

PayMe LPM

Offer iDEAL on Magento

You can now offer iDEAL as a payment method on Magento. iDEAL lets shoppers in the Netherlands pay securely using their own bank app in just one click. Enabling iDEAL can help you increase conversion with local customers and offer a familiar checkout experience. Simply install our Magento plugin and get started here.

Spend

Early access

Turn your expense policy into an always-on reviewer with the Expense Policy Agent

The Expense Policy Agent automatically reviews every reimbursement claim and receipt against your expense policy, flagging duplicates and common issues early. Clear explanations help approvers quickly understand what needs attention, while routine checks run in the background. This keeps spend compliant and under control at scale, without adding friction to your approval workflows.

Expense Policy Agent

Enforce timely expense submissions with late submission policies

With late submission policies, admins can set clear deadlines for expense submissions and let the system handle follow-ups. Define how long employees have to submit expenses and optionally enable automatic card freezing for overdue submissions. Cards are automatically unfrozen once expenses are submitted, creating a simple and consistent way to encourage compliance without manual chasing.

Platform APIs and Embedded Finance

Pay out sellers in one step with direct ledger payouts

Marketplaces using ledger accounts can now pay sellers directly from the platform account to the seller’s external bank account in a single API call. This removes the need for a two-step transfer process, reduces operational complexity, and gives platforms more flexibility in how they manage seller payouts. Learn more here.

Strengthen API security with IP whitelisting for API keys

Secure your API keys by restricting where they can be used from. You can now manage IP whitelists directly in the WebApp for all key types, including scoped keys. The update supports Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) notation, bulk copy and paste of IP lists, and applies protection to login and authentication endpoints. This helps reduce the risk of unauthorised access and meet stricter enterprise security requirements in a self-serve way. Learn more here.
