FPS is a payment service platform that allows payers to make instant domestic transfers to individuals and corporations via online and mobile banking in Hong Kong. It is available 24/7, and covers participating local banks and financial institutes with Stored Value Facility (SVF) licenses.
FPS is also widely recognized as a payment method in Hong Kong. To check out with FPS, a payer can scan an FPS QR code and confirm the exact payment amount by authenticating the transaction on his mobile banking App. Merchants accepting FPS as payment method benefit from easy reconciliation, cost savings, faster settlement schedule and non-disputes.

In rare cases, if a payer accidentally makes more than 1 succesfull payments on the same QR code, the additional payment will be refunded to the payer automatically. Please inform your customers to double check refunds on their banking or mobile wallet apps if any questions.
Airwallex supports payments collected via QR code. Collections via FPS ID, phone number, email address, Hong Kong ID, or bank account number are not supported.
