How to Provide Fraud Feedback
The API allows you to provide two feedback types: AUTHORIZED_BY_CARDHOLDER and NOT_AUTHORIZED_BY_CARDHOLDER.
Reporting Authorized Transactions

The primary purpose of
AUTHORIZED_BY_CARDHOLDERis to provide feedback when a legitimate transaction has been declined or received a fraud warning. -
Reporting transactions as
AUTHORIZED_BY_CARDHOLDERwill allow the cardholder to successfully retry the second transaction within a reasonable amount of time with the updated fraud controls. -
If you have mistakenly marked a transaction as authorized, promptly submit a follow-up report with
NOT_AUTHORIZED_BY_CARDHOLDER. This will block the card, preventing further unauthorized use.
Reporting Unauthorized Transactions

The primary purpose of
NOT_AUTHORIZED_BY_CARDHOLDERis to provide feedback when a fraudulent transaction has been attempted. -
Reporting a transaction as
NOT_AUTHORIZED_BY_CARDHOLDERimmediately blocks the card, preventing any further transactions and mitigating potential losses. -
If you have mistakenly marked a transaction as not authorized, you must contact Airwallex’s Customer Support to unblock the card.

Important Note: Card Blocking
A card can be blocked due to a reported NOT_AUTHORIZED_BY_CARDHOLDER transaction, a follow up correction of an authorized transaction, or due to Airwallex's fraud engine detection.
In all scenarios of a blocked card, only Airwallex's Customer Support can unblock a card. Hence, please take extra care when sending fraud feedback to prevent any disruption to your card usage.
