Airwallex has taken home WeMoney’s 2026 International Money Transfer Award for Best for Transfer Speeds. This is a win that lands at a moment when fast, dependable cross-border money movement matters more than ever for Australian businesses.
WeMoney’s 2026 Travel Awards span five categories and are assessed by an independent panel and WeMoney’s research team on factors including value, customer experience, and product quality. In the International Money Transfer category, that makes speed a meaningful marker of product quality, not just a nice-to-have.
Built to move money faster across borders
For businesses operating across markets, transfer speed has a direct impact on cash flow, supplier relationships, payroll timing, and day-to-day confidence. That’s where Airwallex is focused. We help businesses move money to more than 200 countries, with 120+ countries leveraging local rails, and 94% of transactions routed through local rails instead of SWIFT. The result is speed at scale: 93% of transactions arrive the same day, and 45% arrive instantly.
That speed is backed by infrastructure designed for modern global business. Airwallex supports 90+ trade currencies at interbank rates, with 90+ currencies priced live on the spot market. For Australian customers, FX mark-ups are 0.5% above interbank rates on major currencies including AUD, USD, EUR, GBP, and SGD, and 1% on other supported currencies. Local transfer fees, including BPAY and FPS, are A$0, while SWIFT transfers are priced at A$10 for SHA and A$30 for OUR.
This is the standard we’re building towards: global money movement that feels as fast and straightforward as domestic payments. Today, Airwallex is moving money at scale, with US$266 billion in annualised transaction volume, $1.2 billion in annualised revenue, and 80+ licences and permits globally. Winning Best for Transfer Speeds is strong recognition of the progress we’ve made, and of the bigger opportunity ahead: helping companies move faster, compete globally, and operate without borders.
