Learn how Airwallex describes product release phases and what to expect from each.

Airwallex uses release phases to describe the availability and maturity of features across the API, Airwallex web app, and other product areas. These phases allow Airwallex to incrementally release new features and improve them based on your feedback before making them broadly available.

  • Not feature-complete. Major additions or changes can occur before general availability.
  • Breaking changes are possible.
  • Evaluate the feature's maturity before using it in production workflows.
Airwallex support team. Support for early access features may differ from generally available features. Documentation may be provided directly by the Airwallex team, or available on this site or the Help Center .
General availability (GA)Open to any Airwallex account. Most features are self-service.
  • Feature-complete. No breaking changes expected.
  • Any future changes are handled through API version upgrades.
Airwallex support team. Documentation is available on this site or the Help Center .
LegacyAvailable only on the API version specified in the documentation for that feature, or earlier versions. Not available on newer API versions.
  • Functionally frozen. No new development or enhancements.
  • A replacement feature is available or in progress.
Limited support. Airwallex may provide migration guidance to the replacement feature.

Identifying release phases in documentation

Features in early access or legacy are labeled in the documentation so you can easily identify their maturity. You may see labels such as Early access or Legacy in page titles and feature tables. Features without a release phase label are generally available.
