Welcome to Airwallex’s March release notes. We’re introducing over a dozen new features for customers all over the world, including the US (Yield), Australia (PayTo), Israel (Payments) and Hong Kong (Octopus). Businesses can also benefit from our AI Assistant, Spend insights, updated search features, physical card delivery APIs, and more. Here’s what’s new:
Business Accounts
Get more done with AI Assistant
The AI Assistant in the WebApp is now generally available, helping teams get up and running faster and manage day-to-day tasks with less friction. It understands your business context, guides you through onboarding, answers questions in real time, and can take actions on your behalf, such as opening Global Accounts, enabling payment methods, creating cards, and activating Spend.
The assistant surfaces key account details like KYB status and Global Account information directly in chat, so you don’t need to switch screens. It also supports common investigations with automated workflows and seamless handoff to human support when needed. With always-on, concierge-style guidance, teams can complete setup, resolve issues, and move money faster, all in one place. Learn more.

Earn returns on USD balances with Yield in the United States
US businesses can now put their idle USD balances to work with Airwallex Yield. Earn daily returns with flexible access and no lock-up periods, allocate funds in just a few clicks, and move money seamlessly between cash and Yield balances. Withdrawals typically settle in 1–2 business hours, and businesses can easily track their balances and lifetime earnings within their Yield account. Learn more here.
Disclaimer: Airwallex Yield brokerage services are offered through Airwallex Capital US LLC (“Airwallex Capital US”). Airwallex Capital US is a registered broker-dealer and member of FINRA/SIPC. Add funds instantly via PayTo in Australia
Australian businesses can now add AUD instantly by linking their external bank accounts to their Airwallex Wallet using PayTo, available in the WebApp and via API. Compared to traditional direct debit, PayTo offers faster setup and funds settle 24/7 in real-time. Daily default limits apply, and higher limits can be requested. Learn more here.

Additional releases:
Updated Global Account for Singapore: We’re introducing improvements to our Singapore Global Account, giving Singaporean businesses faster access to customer-named, multi-currency Global Accounts with near-instant activation.
Streamline transfer approvals: Authorised users can create and approve transfers in a single action, streamlining your transfer processes. This feature works with your existing workflows to reduce manual steps while keeping your approval controls intact. It can be enabled when setting up your transfer approval workflow.
Payments
Early accessAccept card payments with an Israeli legal entity
Merchants with Israeli legal entities can now accept Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, with like-for-like settlement in up to 20 major currencies such as ILS, USD, EUR, GBP and more. If your business is selling to Israeli consumers, you can increase conversion rates and decrease payment cost by processing domestically through an Israeli legal entity.
Accept global bank transfers with SWIFT
You can now accept SWIFT bank transfers in USD, EUR, HKD, and SGD in addition to existing local transfer methods as a payment option on checkout. This expands your ability to collect bank payments from customers in markets without local payment coverage and offers a cost-effective option for high-value transactions compared to cards. With SWIFT support, you can reach more customers globally and offer greater flexibility at checkout. Learn more here.

Offer Octopus for online payments in Hong Kong
Hong Kong businesses can now accept Octopus for online payments. Octopus is one of the city’s most widely used payment methods, letting your customers pay via QR code on desktop or through the Octopus app on mobile. With PayMe, Alipay HK, and FPS also supported, you now have access to the most comprehensive local payment method coverage in Hong Kong through Airwallex. Learn more here.

Spend
Drill into spend trends with custom analytics
We've expanded Spend Overview to help teams resolve issues faster and close their books with confidence. Admins get a consolidated view of spend alongside personalised recommendations, and can now build custom analytics views to track spend by vendor, department, or entity. You can also export the underlying activity for deeper analysis, making it easier to monitor spending, spot anomalies, and investigate cross‑product spend patterns.

Connect Spend to more ERPs with the Spend API
The Spend API lets you sync Spend data into ERPs, complementing our existing Xero, QuickBooks, and NetSuite integrations. Use it to build or customise your own integrations and programmatically export card expenses, reimbursements, and bills data, so more of your global spend flows into a single source of truth with less manual reconciliation.
Early accessFind card transactions faster with improved search and clearer statuses
We’ve improved card transaction search and lifecycle handling to make it easier to find, review, and reconcile card activity. You can now search by merchant, card, or user, and filter for status like refunds and cancelled transactions. These updates make it faster to investigate activity and manage spend with confidence as card usage scales.

Platform APIs and Embedded Finance
Choose physical card delivery speed via API
Platforms using Airwallex Issuing can now select the delivery mode for physical cards at the point of card creation via API. This gives you more control over how cards are delivered and allows you to automate delivery fee billing based on your commercial model. The update reduces operational overhead and gives you more flexibility in how you deliver cards to end users. Learn more here.
