How Does the Airwallex Grant for Startups Work?
The Airwallex Grant for Startups, also known as the Business Acceleration Grant, is a $10k grant offered to a founder to help with their company’s growth. Founders can choose to spend the grant in whatever way they feel will benefit their startup’s growth trajectory the most.
All founders need to do to be in the running for the start up grant is apply for the Airwallex for Startups program, a unique initiative that also offers other exclusive member benefits including; educational resources and industry-first resources, community events and gatherings, offers from Airwallex and our incredible range of ecosystem partners and more.
Please note that the current grant round is closed, but Airwallex for Startups program participants can still access other member benefits.
Why Should Businesses Apply for the Funding?
Businesses should apply for the Business Acceleration Grant to unlock the next stage of their growth goals. This could go towards creating prototype or beta products, launching marketing programs or helping establish operations overseas. The previous winners of our grant have invested the money in a range of ways. Maria Baker of Nobody’s Princess used her grant to help with trademarks and business name registrations in the U.S. and Canada. Who is eligible to enter the Airwallex for Startups program?
Any Australian startup founder or employee, aged 18 years or over with a registered Australian Business Number (ABN) who works for or in a startup that employs fewer than 100 employees.

How will winners of the $10k Business Acceleration Grant be selected?
This competition is a game of skill. A game of skill is a competition which requires an entrant to apply a level of thought and skill to their entry, and where the winner/s are determined based on qualitative methods rather than chance. In this case, winners will be determined by the entrant completing the application form and answering the question: “How could a $10k grant help you tackle your biggest growth challenge?” Entries will be judged by Airwallex based on the creativity of the response.
