These terms and conditions (‘Terms’) set out the terms and conditions of your participation in the Airwallex Borderless Card Launch Promotion operated by Airwallex (Hong Kong) Limited (‘Airwallex’, ‘us’, ‘our’ or ‘we’). These Terms shall form part of any applicable agreements (‘Customer Agreements’) governing the use of card product issued by Airwallex to you (‘Airwallex Card’) and shall be construed accordingly. Capitalised terms used below shall have the same meaning given to them in the Customer Agreements unless otherwise defined in the Terms.

By participating in the Airwallex Borderless Card Launch Promotion (‘Promotion') and/or receiving the Cashback (as defined below), you agree to these Terms.

Who is eligible to participate in the Promotion?

Only Customers who have received an invitation directly from Airwallex are eligible to participate in the Promotion (‘Eligible Customers’). Airwallex reserves the right to determine who it invites to participate in the Promotion.

What is the Promotion?

Eligible Customers are entitled to enjoy International Fee Waiver on Non-local Transactions and Cashback on Local Transactions during the Promotion Period (all capitalised terms used in this paragraph (except Eligible Customers) are defined below).

What is International Fee Waiver?

We will waive the transaction fee as set out in the fee schedule to the Customer Agreements which would otherwise be applicable on Non-local Transactions made by you during the Promotion Period (‘International Fee Waiver’).

What is Cashback?

Eligible Customers are entitled to receive a cash rebate (‘Cashback’) equal to one (1) per cent on the amount of Local Transactions made by you during the Promotion Period. Eligible Customers can enjoy unlimited Cashback on Local Transactions during the Promotion Period.

When will you receive Cashback?

For Eligible Customer who has made Local Transactions in a calendar month, the relevant Cashback will be credited to the Eligible Customer’s Airwallex account on or before the 30th day of the immediately following calendar month. Any decimal place for Cashback will be rounded down to the nearest integer.

What are Eligible Transactions? 'Eligible Transactions’ mean transactions made by Eligible Customers using the Airwallex Card during the Promotion Period.

‘Local Transactions’ mean Eligible Transactions determined by Visa to be Hong Kong to Hong Kong transactions.

‘Non-local Transactions’ mean Eligible Transactions other than Local Transactions.

When is the Promotion Period?

‘Promotion Period’ means the period commences on 7 June 2021, 00:00 Hong Kong time and ends on 30 June 2023, 23:59 Hong Kong time (both dates inclusive).

Is there any cost to participate in the Promotion?

Airwallex does not charge you any cost, fee or expense to participate in the Promotion.

What are some other restrictions you should know?

Cashbacks are not available in conjunction with other offers, packages or promotions as may be launched by Airwallex from time to time, unless specified by Airwallex.

Eligible Transactions exclude transactions including but not limited to those expressly prohibited under and not supported by our Services pursuant to the Customer Agreements and/or the Acceptable Use Policy and transactions of similar nature. Eligible Transactions also exclude unposted, cancelled, suspended, refunded, unauthorized, charge back transactions and any other transaction as designated by Airwallex from time to time.

The eligibility of transactions for the purpose of the Promotion is determined by Airwallex in its sole and absolute discretion from time to time. Airwallex shall not be liable to determine the eligibility of any transactions before they are made by the Eligible Customer.

Cashbacks may also be reversed if any Eligible Transactions are subsequently cancelled, suspended, frozen or refunded.

International Fee Waiver and Cashback cannot be transferred to third parties or other accounts, or exchanged for any other gifts, returned or exchanged for other products or services.

Termination and changes

The Promotion expires on 30 June 2023, 23:59 Hong Kong time, unless otherwise extended or shortened by Airwallex. Your participation in the Promotion is not guaranteed and may be revoked at any time in Airwallex’s sole and absolute discretion. Airwallex reserves the right to amend these Terms or cancel, suspend or amend this Promotion (or any part of it) at any time without prior notice. Should any disputes arise, the decision of Airwallex shall be final and conclusive.

For the avoidance of doubt, Airwallex reserves the right, at our sole and absolute discretion, to suspend or cancel offering the Promotion to you if we suspect that you are abusing or using the Promotion in a fraudulent or unlawful manner or for a fraudulent or unlawful purpose or if you are in breach of any of these Terms or the Customer Agreements or any of our terms and conditions you have agreed to with Airwallex. During the Promotion Period, in case of any fraud, abuse, reversal, cancellation or charge back of transactions in respect of which the relevant International Fee Waiver or Cashback is awarded, Airwallex reserves the right to debit the equivalent amount of the relevant fee or Cashback from the Eligible Customer's Airwallex account without prior notice.

Eligible Customer is required to keep records of the relevant Eligible Transactions. In case of any disputes, Airwallex reserves the right to require the Eligible Customer to provide such records or submit relevant documents or proofs for verification purpose. Submitted documents or proofs will not be returned. The decision of Airwallex regarding the eligibility of relevant transactions shall be final and conclusive.

In case of any conflict between these Terms and Customer Agreements, these Terms shall prevail.
