  • The partnership helps global merchants drive higher conversions, larger basket sizes, and stronger engagement with local shoppers

  • This partnership expands Airwallex’s financial ecosystem in the Middle East, reinforcing its strategy of enabling localised growth worldwide

RIYADH AND LONDON Airwallex, a leading global financial platform for modern businesses, today announced a partnership with Tabby, the Saudi Arabia-headquartered financial services company, to enable global merchants to offer flexible payments at checkout when selling to customers in the UAE and the KSA.

Through this partnership, Airwallex merchants can now seamlessly activate Tabby’s flexible payment solutions within their payment flows, helping them boost conversion rates, increase average basket sizes, and meet the strong consumer demand for BNPL in two of the region’s fastest-growing digital economies.

Meeting consumer demand in the Middle East

BNPL adoption in the Middle East has accelerated rapidly, with millions of consumers preferring to shop with instalment and pay-later options rather than relying solely on credit cards. By offering Tabby, Airwallex merchants can better localise the consumer checkout experience and build stronger connections with shoppers in the UAE and KSA.

Tabby is trusted by over 20 million people in the Middle East to stay in control of their spending and make the most of their money. Over 40,000 global brands and small businesses, including SHEIN, Amazon, Adidas, IKEA, H&M, Samsung and Noon, use Tabby’s technology to accelerate growth and gain loyal customers by offering flexible payments online and in stores.

Or Liban, Vice President, Benelux & Middle East at Airwallex, said: "To succeed in the Middle East, global merchants must offer payment methods familiar and trusted by local consumers. Our partnership with Tabby enables us to help merchants increase sales and tap into the opportunities present in two of the region's most vibrant digital economies."

Zain Khan, Senior Director of Business Development at Tabby, commented: “We’re excited to partner with Airwallex to give more global merchants seamless access to Tabby. By combining Airwallex’s powerful global payments infrastructure with Tabby’s market-leading BNPL offering, we’re making it easier for businesses to grow in the Middle East while giving consumers the flexibility they want at checkout.”

Strengthening Airwallex’s Localised Ecosystem

This collaboration further reinforces Airwallex’s commitment to building a comprehensive financial operating system tailored to local markets worldwide. By partnering with Tabby, Airwallex expands its payments ecosystem in the Middle East, making it easier for global businesses to enter and scale in the region.
