Flexibility for your business needs

How does Airwallex Yield work?

Yield is different to the traditional high-rate business savings account. 

Instead of sitting in an account, your balances are invested in AAA-rated money-market funds, such as the JP Morgan Liquidity Funds. A money market fund is a type of investment fund that focuses on low-risk, short-term assets with high credit ratings – such as U.S. Treasury bonds, certificates of deposit, and commercial paper.

The funds we invest in hold a diversified mix of these assets, including instruments issued by major global banks. They are designed to offer capital stability and liquidity, with returns that generally move in line with interest rates set by central banks of those currencies.

As of 31 March 2025, the underlying HKD, USD, GBP, and EUR funds Airwallex Yield invests in have received the highest rating – ‘AAAm’ from S&P – indicating an extremely strong capacity to maintain principal stability and limit credit risk.
