Built the Agentic Close Automation Platform Used by Scale AI, Rippling, and Zendesk
Maxima, backed by Kleiner Perkins and Redpoint Ventures, is the agentic close automation platform for enterprise accounting teams. It performs and manages close work across journal entries, reconciliations, flux analysis, workbooks, and financial close workflows, with agents preparing the work and accountants reviewing the outputs.
Yogi repositioned Maxima around outcomes, tying pricing to the accounting work agents complete: prepared journal entries, completed workbooks, reconciled accounts, and workflows ready for review. The shift moved customer conversations away from software subscriptions and toward measurable accounting deliverables.
That model helped land customers including Scale AI, Cognition, Rippling, and Zendesk, sophisticated buyers capable of building in-house who chose Maxima instead.
Yogi also helped bring Maxima's AI accountant, Max, into demanding enterprise accounting environments where auditability, deterministic accuracy, and controls are of paramount significance. Max reasons through accounting tasks, asks clarifying questions, applies company policy, runs validations, and prepares work for review. This agent-prepared, accountant-reviewed model helped controllers get comfortable using agentic AI in production as a governed co-preparer.
Finance is one of the most under-leveraged growth levers a startup has.
The best finance leaders don't just keep the books. They extend runway,
structure capital that changes what a company can do next, and build the
systems that let it scale across borders.
Startup Finance 30 is the first list built to recognise that work.
Beginning in 2026 and continuing annually, we name 30 finance leaders at
venture-backed, globally ambitious startups. The operators shaping how the
next generation of companies grow.
