Merchant Category Codes

Merchant Based Controls

These controls define where the cards may be used. Merchant restrictions can be based on the following levels:

  • Merchant Category Code (MCC) – Specifies the MCC where the card can be used. An MCC is a unique identifier for a type of goods or services provided by a set of merchants.
  • MCC Group (Coming soon) – Specifies the MCC where the card can be used. An MCC group is a unique identifier for a group of merchant category codes. These groups are provided by Airwallex
  • Merchant ID (Coming soon) - Specifies exactly ‘which’ merchant the card can be used by/at

If the Merchant control object is empty then all merchant types are allowed.
